Immunization is widely recognized as one of the greatest public health achievements of the twentieth century. Vaccines prevent diseases (VPD), save lives and reduce health care costs. Immunization programs are an important foundation of Ontario’s health system.

We provide public health partners with expertise, support and resources for the prevention and control of vaccine-preventable diseases in Ontario.

The new iPHIS User Guide - Outbreak Module: Vaccine Preventable Diseases  outlines the standardized data entry procedures and requirements for input of VPD cases into iPHIS. Additional resources include:
